NON-spawning code with crontab script to keep daemon alive. Daemon commands for ON-THE-FLY single-user reconfiguration of Vhosts and connecting to a server. Ability to include the bounce address in the password; for quick, efficient connection to an irc host. Optional Logging of connects, failures, and other important data. Identwd dynamic ident support for on-the-fly per-user ident changing.

Binary packages can be installed with the high-level tool pkgin (which can be installed with pkg_add) or pkg_add(1) (installed by default). The NetBSD packages collection is also designed to permit easy installation from source.
The pkg_admin audit command locates any installed package which has been mentioned in security advisories as having vulnerabilities.
