editors/ed - The NetBSD Packages Collection

GNU version of line-oriented text editor

This is the GNU version of ed(1).

ed is a line-oriented text editor.  It is used to create, display,
modify and otherwise manipulate text files.

This also includes a restricted ed, which can only edit files in the
current directory and cannot execute shell commands.

Binary packages can be installed with the high-level tool pkgin (which can be installed with pkg_add) or pkg_add(1) (installed by default). The NetBSD packages collection is also designed to permit easy installation from source.
