The KANJIDIC2 file contains comprehensive information about Japanese kanji in XML format. The KANJIDIC2 file has the 6,355 kanji from JIS X 0208, the 5,801 kanji from JIS X 0212 and the 3,625 kanji from JIS X 0213 (of which all but 884 are also in JIS X 0212).
Binary packages can be installed with the high-level tool pkgin (which can be installed with pkg_add) or pkg_add(1) (installed by default). The NetBSD packages collection is also designed to permit easy installation from source.
The pkg_admin audit command locates any installed package which has been mentioned in security advisories as having vulnerabilities.
